Soak in the history and charm of the Strath Taieri area with your personal guide as you meander through some amazing sites and experience the rural New Zealand way of life.
You will visit a working sheep station and enjoy a mix of both old and new farming practices including sheep shearing and a working dog demonstration.
Continuing on your journey you will see local landmarks and stunning landscapes before arriving at your lunch venue where you will enjoy true southern hospitality with a traditional Kiwi BBQ.
Following lunch you can choose to either visit New Zealand's only inland Salt Lake or spend time viewing local gardens. The Sutton Salt Lake is a 40 minute walk through tussocks and amazing schist rock formations. It is an undulating grass track and requires a moderate level of fitness.
Returning to Middlemarch you will have time to visit the museum and local craft shops before being transported back to your accommodation.
