The Strath Taieri is part of the Dunedin City. In fact, it comprises the largest land area of the entire city.
SH87 between Outram and Middlemarch and further afield is sometimes closed due to bad weather. Please check road conditions before you travel at such times. The NZ Transport Agency website has up-to-date information. Electronic information boards at each end of the SH87 road between Outram to Middlemarch advise motorists about the road conditions in adverse weather and whether the road is open or closed. Barriers are also in place. Do not attempt to pass when the road is closed.
In the event of a medical Emergency, DIAL 111 and ask for the Ambulance Service. They will then contact the Medical On-Call Nurse.
Prime Nurse Care is available 6pm to 8am weekdays and 24-hours weekends by calling the Middlemarch Surgery number: 464 3877
