As the Cavalcade arrives in Middlemarch, expect a warm country welcome with festivities that showcase our community spirit. From the lively parade of participants to market stalls, live entertainment, a Saturday night Hoe-down, and delicious local fare, it’s a weekend not to be missed. Whether you’re here to cheer on the Cavalcaders or soak in the unique rural atmosphere, Middlemarch promises a memorable celebration.

Cavalcade Hoedown
8pm – 12am

Dust off your boots and saddle up for the biggest night of the Cavalcade. We’re winding the clock back to the glory days of the Middlemarch Singles Ball, with great music, plenty of dancing, and just enough romance to keep things interesting.

Join us for the Rural Livestock Otago Cavalcade Hoedown as we celebrate 25 years of the Middlemarch Singles Ball with a full-scale hoedown — boot scooting, big energy, and one unforgettable night at the heart of the 2026 Cavalcade.
