Just a wee reminder the gift lamb competition at the Easter A & P Show is only a couple of months away. Last Year this event was very well supported and hotly contested, making for a really good fun competition. I am hoping that those who supported us last year will do so again and a few more might like to have a go as well. Thanks to our sponsors we have some excellent cash and product prizes - plus every entry will go into the draw for a mystery prize.

Any and all lambs will be gratefully accepted. But if you want to have a crack at winning one of the 4 top prizes, then here is the criteria:

1. Best Export Quality lamb - as judged on show day

2. Highest Value Lamb at Slaughter

3. Best yielding Lamb

4. The Lean Meats Lamb - lamb that best fits Lean Meats Criteria (21-25kg - fat GR measure of 4-12mm)

Funds raised from this competition will go to the Strath Taieri A & P and a donation will be made to this year’s chosen local organization, the Middlemarch Swimming Pool.

Details on how to enter, pick up etc will be made available closer to the time, all you have to do for now is find a lamb you would like to enter.
